The World is on Fire

The World is on Fire is a redfitz original documentary film that will trace the personal stories of refugees and migrants – your stories – during this unprecedented moment in history by interweaving thousands of your video clips, photographs, phone calls, video calls and texts provided by you. 

We need the help of thousands and thousands of you, of refugees and migrants from around the world, to tell this story at scale and from the inside. We believe this is the only way to do your stories justice.

I realize that redfitz productions, LLC (“Production Company”) is engaged in the search for material for use in connection with a documentary and multimedia project (whether a motion picture, docu-series, exhibition or otherwise) currently entitled The World Is on Fire (such project, and any titles thereto and portion thereof, including any clips, together with all trailers, featurettes, advertisements, “behind the scenes” and “making of” footage, director’s cut and other versions and promotional material therefor, as well any works based upon or related to such motion picture, including any sequels, prequels, remakes, spin-offs or other derivative works are hereinafter referred to as the “Project”). For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I grant to Production Company the right to copy, reproduce, display, perform, exhibit, record sound from, photograph, film and otherwise use the photographs, videos and other materials submitted by me to Production Company (collectively, “My Materials”) in and in connection with the Project in any manner or media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for all purposes. While I retain copyright ownership of My Materials, the Project is the exclusive property of Production Company. I represent and warrant that I am the sole owner of My Materials; that I have the right to enter into this agreement and to grant Production Company the rights granted herein; that the consent of no other person or entity is required for Production Company’s use of My Materials; and that and any use thereof in connection with the distribution, exhibition and exploitation of the Project will not in any way infringe or violate the rights of any person or entity. All of the above rights are granted without any restriction or reservation of any kind or nature whatsoever and without any right on any part to enjoin or interfere with the production, distribution or exploitation of the Project. I hereby release and discharge Production Company, its employees, agents, licensees, successors and assigns from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that I may have for libel, defamation, invasion of privacy or right of publicity, infringement of copyright or violation of any other right arising out of or relating to any of the rights granted herein. I agree to indemnify Production Company from and against any loss or damage, including reasonable attorney’s fees and disbursements, caused by or arising out of any breach or alleged breach of any representation made by me herein. Any dispute relating to this Release shall be settled pursuant to binding arbitration under the rules of the Independent Film and Television Alliance (“IFTA”) before a single arbitrator in New York, NY. The prevailing party in any such action shall be entitled to collect reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.
